Geoffrey Fletcher Wins 2010 Oscar Award

Precious Screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher just won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. It’s his first nomination and, of course, his first win.

Fletcher gave quite an emotional acceptance speech and seemed quite shocked and humble by the moment!

While accepting the award, he said that he seemed flustered, and said that he didn’t know what to say. He thanked the cast and the crew of Precious who believed in him. He also thanked his family – 2 brothers, mother and father for supporting him in everything.

Miley Cyrus floats along the red carpet in a champagne colored Jenny Packham gown at the 2010 Oscars held at The Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon (March 7).

Miley Cyrus is one of a batch of young Hollywood film stars to join the upcoming Oscars telecast announced Monday.

The 17-year-old actress was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet and was asked if she was in love with her The Last Song costar Liam Hemsworth. She replied, “Ummm, maybe!”

Miley join fellow Disney star Zac Efron along with Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as among the show’s presenters.

The wife of NBA star Allen Iverson, Tawanna Iverson, is filing for divorce in a marriage breakdown shock.

Iverson’s wife filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court, according to a report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The petition was filed on the same day that the Sixers announced that Iverson would not return to the team this season. The papers filed claimed the marriage is "irretrievably broken".

The couple has five children together, one who is 15 years old and another who is just 17 months of age.Allen Iverson recently ended his NBA season early to be with his sick daughter.

At the time Iverson wrote on Twitter: “I need to be there to hold my little girl’s hand and encourage her to get better. I wanted her to wake up every morning and see her Daddy’s face, at least until she got better. Through God’s Strength, She Will Keep Getting Better!”

Despite all of the troubles, Iverson was voted by fans as a starter for the 2010 All-Star game in Dallas, Texas.

Irene Folstrom Defends Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods may have made mistakes as a husband to Elin Nordegren, but he wasn't always a bad boyfriend. At least that's what his college sweetheart Irene Folstrom claims in a new column for Golf.com, stating that Tiger was a "great boyfriend" during their relationship.

Folstrom dated Woods for a year and a half while they were both attending Stanford University, and she swears she's not making any money off of defending him. She's just supporting an old friend.

She writes, "Like everyone else, I was shocked by the revelations about his infidelities. The Tiger I knew was loyal, devoted and self-­controlled. I’m not naive, but I can say with certainty that he was faithful during the time we dated. The speculation that he's being treated for sex addiction is surprising because we enjoyed a normal sexual relationship."

She made reference to spending time with Tiger's mother, and claims that they had a relatively normal sexual relationship. She also wrote that she could say "with certainty that he was faithful during the time we dated."

Although Tiger's behavior hasn't been much more deviant than many other celebrities or political figures, his transgressions led us down a path of conversation about sexual addiction and even comparisons to O.J. Simpson.

Damian Whitewood on 'Dancing With the Stars''

"Dancing With the Stars" welcomes a new hoofer to its dance floor, and it looks like he could heat up the competition.

Damian Whitewood is the newest professional to help a celebrity try and win the coveted disco ball trophy on "Dancing With the Stars."

Whitewood’s addition to the Dancing with the Stars 2010 season means that he has joined the upper league and all set to go.

The pairing of Damian Whitewood with actress Pamela Anderson will ensure that they interest the viewers greatly and it also makes them a winning pair, by far.

According to ABC.com, Whitewood is from Australia and began dancing at the tender age of 10. He has several ballroom and Latin dancing championships under his belt. He was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Blackpool International Championships.

Kristian Digby, a TV host and presenter has been found dead at his home in Stratford, but it is not yet known what the cause of death was after it was reported that he died under “unexplained circumstances.”

The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived at his flat at approximately 7.45am this morning. His next-of-kin have been informed.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said a man in their 30s was found at Richford Road, E15, where ambulance services reported “life was pronounced extinct.”

Metropolitan Police officers launched an investigation and sources said he had died in “unexplained” circumstances. There are no suggestions his death was suicide.

Kristian was a much-loved and talented presenter for BBC Daytime. He brought a real sense of energy and warmth to all the shows he presented and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time

Digby is best known as co-host of BBC One daytime property programme To Buy Or Not To Buy. His previous credits include That Gay Show, Open House and Buy It, Sell It, Bank It.

We learned on Friday that Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil decided to tragically end his life . His death came to a shock to those around Michael.

Death of Marie Osmond’s 18-year-old son, who police said jumped to his death from a downtown apartment building, a coroner’s official said Monday.Michael Blosil left a suicide note before he leaped from the eighth floor of the building on Friday night, said police Lt. Paul Vernon

An autopsy conducted Sunday did not officially determine the cause of death pending the results of toxicology tests, which could take up to two months, said Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.

Blosil was one of Osmond’s five adopted children. She also has three other children from two marriages. Osmond divorced Brian Blosil in 2007 after two decades of marriage. She and her first husband, Stephen Craig, divorced in 1985.
