From Grammy-winning singer to winning Performer of the Year at the CMA’s, Taylor Swift has recently managed to branch out even further to landing gigs outside of the country music, or even musical community at all. Swift will make a cameo in the February 14th release of “Valentine’s Day” where she romances her current rumored beau and Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner. She was an absolute hit when she hosted Saturday Night Life not only once, but twice and recently nabbed the “best episode of the season” by delivering an outstanding cameo, which she had no problem throwing out jabs at both ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and the controversial Kanye West.
So now, she’s officially made it in both the music and acting industries and fashion-lovers are hoping that Swift will chose to tackle the high-fashion industry in the near future. By near future, one specific designer Prabal Gurung is crossing his fingers that the singer will put her 5’11” height to good use by opening his Fall 2010 runway show.
“Dear Santa, May I make an early Xmas reqst? Found out Taylor Swift is 5’11”. Can she open my Fall 2010 collctn? Promise 2behave for a year xo PG,” Gurung tweeted.
With major A-list celebs including Leighton Meester, Demi Moore and Thandie Newton already rockin’ his designs, his wish to land Miss. Swift for his show is a definite possibility.
In terms of her recent initial crossover to the fashion scene (aside from her killer red-carpet appearances) Swift recently rocked a super high-fashion spread for “T Magazine’s Holiday 2009 issue”. Rather then dishing out another predictably, scandalous fashion spread, the magazine teamed up with Taylor to create a super edgy shoot, which is undeniably awesome.
