So The Rangers Drafted Some Kid From Richmond Who Will Probably End Up Playing For UV Anyways
From ESPN.com:
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Rangers selected 18-year-old left-handed pitcher Kevin Matthews with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2011 MLB Draft on Monday.
The Rangers' have picks 33 and 37 in the draft as compensation for free agent pitcher Cliff Lee. The Rangers gave up their pick at No. 26 for signing Adrian Beltre.
Matthews, from Richmond Hill (Ga.) High School, is 5-for-11, 175-pound lefty who throws a 92 mph fastball and is committed to Virginia.
At No. 37, the Rangers took University of Georgia outfielder Zach Cone.
Wait, this kid's only 5-for-11? That can't be right. Let shaboomin do some research. Loading...
Oh... ESPN meant he's 5'11. Love calling ESPN out on their shit. Just gives me erotic pleasure for some reason. It's too bad baseball drafts can't be as exciting as basketball or football drafts, but what are you gonna do? It's a different game. Players have to go through the system, tweak their mechanics, and prove that they can play at the highest level. Then, before you know it they're either injured, cursed with the yipps, or hanging out with meth heads in tattoo parlors, and 3 years has gone by (cough, cough Hamilton). Hopefully it won't come to that, but you never know. Good luck Kevin Matthews and good luck Zach Cone. Hopefully you will both be lucky enough to some day play for Nolan Ryan's Texas Rangers.
Here's the link for Kevin Matthews being drafted along with him pitching.

This Is What's Left At The Rangers' Game
Just delirious animals left over at the game. God, I wish that they continued to sell alcohol until the end of these games. The place would literally be burnt to the ground, but it would make for great Shaboomin material.
But in a sports related thought; great play by Murph dog.
Who's Down For A Ranger Game Tonight?
Expect big crowds tonight. Josh and Nelly dropping bombs their first game back will be sure to do that. Shit, it's got me going. Look for me in the home run seats ready to snatch one. Hopefully no rain delays this time.

Josh and Nelly Should Be Back Today. Thank God.
From ESPN:
PHILADELPHIA -- It looks like two Texas Rangers sluggers will return from the disabled list Monday.
If all goes well with their final rehab starts Sunday in Round Rock, the Rangers likely will play reigning AL MVP Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz in Monday night's series opener against the Chicago White Sox.
"If they make it out of there healthy and everything goes well today, they'll be back in Texas," Rangers manager Ron Washington said Sunday morning before Game 3 of the series with the Philadelphia Phillies.
In two games, Cruz is 4-for-8 with two home runs and Hamilton is 2-for-7 with a home run and a double. Both players homered Saturday night.
The Rangers are 14-21 minus Hamilton and 7-9 with Cruz out of the lineup.

Bring out the broom sticks cause here comes the boom sticks. Rangers will be fun to watch again. Shapow.

Get Online And Vote For The Rangers Right Meow
Link right hur...
I know things have been rough lately for the Rangers, but it's early in the season and God knows we are stacked like a mother fucker. And sorry Murphy, but I don't know how you made the cut. Great player in all, but seriously. I guess it is nice to get recognition though. So good job murph dog. Job well done.

Chris Lee's Wife Kristen Lee Harassed By Yankee Fans

While the American League Championship Series was being played in Yankee Stadium, the wife of Texas Rangers ace Cliff Lee was reportedly not happy with how the Yankees fans treated her.
The wife of Texas Rangers ace Cliff Lee says she experienced some pretty abusive behavior from Yankee fans, including taunting, cursing, throwing cups of beer and even spitting from the section above.
According to a report by Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Kristen Lee sat in the visiting family section at Yankee Stadium and was allegedly harassed by New York fans.
"The fans did not do good things in my heart," Kristen Lee told USA Today. "When people are staring at you, and saying horrible things, it's hard not to take it personal."
Yankees fans also threw trash into the Texas bullpen in Game 2 and attempted to dump beer on former Baltimore Oriole Cal Ripken Jr. during the TBS pregame show before Game 4.
