Irvin Pastor Opens Up House Meeting With Prayer For A Cowboys' Superbowl
From the Dallasnews.com:
The Rev. Ben Dailey, lead pastor of Irving's fast-growing Calvary Church, slipped in a plug for the 'Boys at the end of his invocation at the start of Tuesday's House floor session.
Two minutes into his otherwise somber prayer, after seeking divine blessing on state leaders, schools, businesses and churches, Dailey wound up, "And God, would you please bless our Dallas Cowboys with another Super Bowl championship?"
Though Dailey's sponsor, Rep. Linda Harper-Brown, R-Irving, had her head bowed, she chuckled. She had introduced him, largely using his bio on the church's website, which you can read here. (He is shown in his church photo, right, with his wife, Kim.)
Dailey continued, "And we thank you in the authority and awesome name of Jesus Christ. Amen."
Well if there is anything I've learned from prayer, it's that it's always answered. No questions asked. So get ready for the 'Boys to bring home ring 6!!!!!!!
